Zhang,Zhongwu: Chinese people object officials to grass-roots units
张中武(Zhang,Zhongwu)
All levels of officials in China have a habit of inspecting grass-roots units. In a society with no democracy and no freedom, officials themselves usually have superiority feelings, treating the masses with condescending attitudes. Officials fear justice voices from the masses and awakening of the masses for maintaining their self-interests and government privileges. Once government has inaction problems, when officials have corruption problems, they think ways of covering up and harboring themselves; ordinary people have no rights to ask, no rights to supervise government and officials.
Actually, the masses all doubt these accredited officials. The masses have no good impression for them when officials of CCP inspect in grass-roots units. Some people describe these officials like this: “they come here like doing business, they get in and out like guests, they dine and wine like they are celebrating the New Year, they come back like hunting because they return fully loaded.
There are other sayings when officials inspect in grass-roots units. One local person described officials as this: they travel around in cars, see things from glasses, they have lunch at noon, then clap on the shoulder and say do a good job. Opening newspapers, TVs to see news, such superficial things happen every day.
