Yang,Tengshu: Improving human rights can realize a harmonious society

The Chinese government doesn’t truly actualize “ruling the country by law” in the current Chinese society, though the constitution regulates to implement “rule by law”, the autocratic system of this country makes Chinese society no constitutionalism; officials not only corrupt but also enjoy privileges beyond the law, their words alone can handle various cases, the whole Chinese society fully exhibit characteristics of “rule of men”, “rule of men” to a great extent violates human rights of the public.
Chinese society advocates to establish a harmonious society, however, a harmonious society means an all-round harmony politically, economically, socially, and culturally. Human rights are important basis for a harmonious society, improving human rights can realize the comprehensive development in areas of politics, economy, society, and culture. It can be said that improvement of human rights is the primary task of Chinese government to establish a harmonious society.
Therefore, Chinese government should emphases protection and improvement of human rights; to implement respect and guarantee human rights by the constitution in real earnest. Only by doing so can guarantee the sustainable development of China’s economy; to continuous propel the construction of democratic legal system; to gradually prosper cultural industry; to fully guarantee freedom of speech and religious freedom; to let people of all nationalities enjoy basic rights of human rights, freedom and so on.
