Wen,Ming:Judicial independence is the fundamental guarantee for effective anti-corruption
文明(Wen,Ming)
In today’s Chinese society where corruption runs wild, briberies are common phenomenon for Chinese people, especially in official circles in recent years, cases of some middle and senior officials resign or even go to jail because of bribes are very common.
The current Chinese society on the surface is governed by CCP, media under the control of the government publicize everyday, about how honest the government is, how officials refuse corruption, it seems that anti-corruption trend is good at any time; but the fact is many officials use defects in the system, and obvious legal loopholes in judicial area, to corrupt and steal money; corruption is getting more and new corruption are coming in thick and fast.
Anti-corruption in China has adverse effects, and the most important factor is delayed political reform. CCP regime worries about the political reform, afraid too big steps will affect the ruling party status, affect economic reform, and affect social instability. One party dictatorship of CCP means power of party replaces power of law, disciplines of the party replaces law, power doesn’t have supervision and cause serious corruption. Corruption can’t be solved under the one party dictatorship, corruption can only be solved after judicial independence, open news, the right to know, and superintendence are fully guaranteed.
