Freedom of religion belief, the current international method is the law regulates citizens have freedom of religion belief voluntarily according to their faith. Freedom of religion belief is a right system, citizens have freedom of belief, freedom of religious activities, freedom of rituals, and freedom of preaching in some countries. Here in China, though the constitution regulates freedom of religion belief, but in actual commission, it usually can’t justify that, and even run in opposite directions sometimes.

It’s well known that in July, 1999, the popular Falun Gong at that time was claimed as interfering with national security and social stability by CCP and labeled as illegal and prohibited accordingly. Since then, mainland launched vigorous “anti-evil cults” movements. Guided by the policy of “never let off a single bad one at the cost of a thousand innocent people”, CCP made numerous killings, and some innocent people were involved in that.

A relative of the author’s friend used to work in the government. He is particular about health preservation, and went to parks to exercise Qigong besides diet adjustment in order to stay fit and healthy. Through those accommodations, he looked very animated and younger than his peers. However, he was tipped-off by people with ulterior motives as Falun Gong trainee during the movement. CCP first investigated him and then dismissed him. One year later, when that relative saw him again, he was already white-haired and too old to recognize. He had slow response when the relative greeted him. His family said he was tortured and had serious autism.

The quthor’s friend was just a Qigong fan, not a Falun Gong, but suffered such treatments. Hard lots of those real Falun Gong are needless to say. After CCP claimed Falun Gong as evil cult, more than 6,000 Falun Gong were illegally arrested, over 100,000 people had reeducation through labor illegally. Over 3352 people were persecuted and died, thousands of people were forced to mental hospitals where they suffered drugs abuse, some of them even had their organs removed and sold.

In China’s constitution, the description is “freedom of religion belief” not the universal “freedom of religion”. Though there is only two words difference, it showed the beautiful lie of CCP’s so called “freedom of religion belief”. The nature of CCP’s autocracy determines its highest goal is to maintain governance, maintain vested interests of the ruling clique, instead of respecting human rights and belief. If you show a little disrespect, as long as the government thinks you threaten its governance and interests, it will wave the big stick……So after so many years, no matter in religious area or political and human rights area, CCP cruelly oppress organizational activities, the heavy sentence for those trying to establish organizations are wide-eyed and tongue-tied. The authority won’t let go even if your activity is intentional or just showed a little signs. Religious disciples usually form religious organizations and gatherings, all of which were taboos of the autocratic society; the persecution would not be a surprise. The limited freedom of religious belief China has now is just rulers go against their wills to maintain its governance, to bestow people a little for unity, to seed money for international show. In China, freedom of religion belief is just a beautiful lie that is hard to make out a good case.
