Jin,Jinghua: Calling on the Chinese government to strengthen environmental protection

In China, as the government hasn’t value publicity of environmental protection for a long time, many people formed a bad habit, which is disposal of rubbish casually; in some places, looking around, one can see domestic garbage everywhere. Plastic bags of every color fly in the sky when wind blows; disposed garbage, used batteries can be seen everywhere. Scientific proof shows a battery can pollute at least one square meter soil. Despite that, Chinese government doesn’t establish the recovery management line of used batteries, and plus lack of propaganda, many people still don’t know the simple action of discarding used batteries can cause serious pollution to the soil.
Many factories in China discharge unprocessed industrial waste water to rivers, and lakes, making water in the rivers and lakes muddy, float with garbage and have foul smelling; they also discharge exhaust gas directly to the air and cause serious air pollution in some places.
Environmental protection is responsibility and obligation of every government and citizen, Chinese government should strengthen laws of environmental protection, enhance the publicity of environmental protection, and facilitate work of environmental protection to head for a positive direction.
