Zhang,Baoming: Let Chinese society to head for democracy and freedom

For sixty years, China has experienced several political movements, especially 30 years after the reform and opening up, CCP has the one party dictatorship and reduced government public trust, the whole Chinese society has moral bankruptcy, business and politics are corrosively intertwined, official corruption is rampant. Many officials take advantage of their job and accumulate wealth by unfair means, suppress and persecute the people. Ordinary people living at the bottom of society bear all sufferings, and they often think, what’s wrong in today’s government? Is it because of laws of the government, or problems in the system?
It’s very clear that China’s system has defects, government has problems, and laws have problems. Government under the autocratic regime doesn’t respect human rights, and can’t guarantee human rights; people are not equal before the law; ruling the country according to law is just empty words. Chinese constitution expresses people as masters of the country, but human rights and freedom can’t be realized.
Chinese people need equality, need freedom of speech, need human rights. To achieve the goal, Chinese government must totally abandon totalitarian regime and let Chinese society head for democracy and freedom.
