Hu,Yuanping: Guaranteeing food safety relies on a rational social system
胡元萍(Yuanping Hu)
Food safety problems in China have always been highlight for Chinese people, for the time being, the whole food industries in China lacks a emphatic management mechanism, some food operators lost humanity, disregard of law and discipline, and do whatever they want without restraint. Relevant government agencies lacking in supervise and they are to blame for emerging food safety incidents.
Chinese people are honest and kind-hearted. As the result of food problems, when innocent lives pass away, when small souls are hurt, people still believe the government can find problems, and solve problems without delay. However, poisonous milk, carcinogenic rice, adulterated wine, overdose pesticide in vegetables and fruits, food incidents like these which relate to physical and mental health as well as life safety can’t be stopped.
Food safety incidents bring huge losses to lives and property of people, the cases above reflect some officials lack of conscience, impulsive working style, loose management, not well-knit work style, some officials take no heed of people’s cries and hardships, some local government are apathetic to problems of people’s live safety. Food safety problems have perplexed Chinese people for many years, guaranteeing food safety relies on a rational social system, and the truth proves that reforming political system in China is both inevitable and necessary.
