Lu，Jinshan: Chinese government should strengthen enforcement of environmental protection

Speak of environmental pollution, people always think polluting factories with black smokes, black waters with odor. Those factories only care about production and pursuit of economic interests, and ignore environmental protection. Facing such factories, local governments and agencies tacitly consent to them, connivance and even back them up. Otherwise, how can they have the courage to damage the environment human beings rely on? How can they dare to fight against the civilized society?
Though Chinese government emphasize environmental protection, some local government achieved results in environmental protection, however, many factories still pollute the environment and even getting worse. Some officials only put environmental protection and energy saving and pollutant reduction on the surface, and don’t adopt them in actual work. Some local governments turn a blind eye to polluting factories for economic interests. It can be said that serious environmental pollution are usually caused by inaction of the government.
To check inaction on environmental protection, inquisition for environmental protection has to be strengthened, people, groups and organizations have to be granted with legal supervising power to control and supervise enforcement of environmental protection.
