Du, Ping: Freedom of speech is the fundament of Chinese political reform

Although Chinese government set up barriers for the internet and keep surveillance and audit on the network, many Chinese people conquered the difficulties to realize the concept of democracy though the internet with the internet using spread in China, and the sense of human rights is waking up among Chinese people. The internet opens a gate to freedom for Chinese, and the thought of Chinese have been made a big progress, and they believe that many contradiction in China society were caused by the political system and it is very necessary to promote political reform in China.
The people’s thought has bee made big progress, but there are still a lot of difficulties to conquer for the final speech freedom. The Chinese government must realize that it is imperative to launch political reform and speech freedom is the precondition. It is useless to open mind advocated by the government without speech freedom; it is formalistic to be surveillance by the people and limit the power of the government officials by law without speech freedom; the people can not speak out the truth, and the public opinion is not reliable without speech freedom.
One way to promote the political reform is to open mind and speech freedom. In fact, the reform would be a done for shown if without the pressure of public opinion, so the importance is obvious for speech freedom. There is nothing to say to reform without speech freedom.
