陈破空 Chen, Pokong: China, the Mentality of Dictators
After remediating lawyers and arresting artist Ai, Weiwei, the Chinese Communist Party resumed a new phase of suppression comprehensively.
In March, at the 52nd anniversary of Tibetan Anti-Violence, in Aba area (the border of Sichuan and Tibet), a Tibetan monk burnt himself to death to protest against Communist Party’s high-pressure dictatorship.
Angry Tibetans and monks went on strikes. The Communist Party deployed army to suppress civilians and surrounded Geerdeng Temple, where 2,500 monks lived, for a month. During this time, They even terminated the food delivery to the temple and intentionally starved monks.
On April 22nd, the Communist Party’s police and army violently broke into Geerdeng Temple, beat many Tibetans, arrested more than 300 monks and killed 2 Tibetans on-site.
At the same time, during the Thanksgiving perioed, the Communist Party persecuted China’s biggest family church – The Church of Support to break down their outdoor pray during Thanksgiving with various means. The Chinese Communist Party again hurt peaceful religious people with state violence, which was unbelievably surprising.
The so-called “Jasmine Revolution”was only at a practice state and immature, but the Communist Party also used giant state power to kill it.
The spokesperson from Democratic Department once blamed foreign journalists for rushing into and blocking traffic in business zones. But as a matter of fact, it is the Chinese Communist Party’s army and police that rushed into and blocked the traffic in business zones.
Tense and even psycho Zhongnanhai sends out large scale of police and army for small events. This is not only a waste of human resource but also a waster of national treasure and social welfare. This authority is more and more suppressing its people with financial, material and technology methods. They have lost their sense of security with its people.
The revolutionary voice would be an opportunity of a change in any other country; but in China, it is a chance for the Authority to suppress. Zhongnanhai has become addictive of violent suppressions and tortures. It is almost like they cannot sleep at night if they do not persecute and torture its people.
Persecution and suppression has upgraded to its maximum level after the Cultural Revolution. The dictatorship of Chinese Communist Party is dark compared with feudal dynasties, let alone democratic countries.
The annual human rights conversation between China and U.S is about to begin. Before this, U.S Congress made a statement that the issue of “forced disappearance, arrests outside courts and sentences of crime in China”will be discussed. The Chinese Communist Party accused all international criticism of “Interference with China’s justice”.
As a matter of fact, it is the Communist Party itself that interferes with China’s justice. If China’s justice is independent for real, families hurt from poor quality construction projects and poisonous milk will be able to build a case; if the Chinese Communist Law is effective, those lawyers who defends Chinese people will not disappear, be arrested, be locked up and sentenced to crime.
Well-dressed and well-paid Chinese Communist Party’s police and army suppressed the Chinese people due to the lost of their mentality. After being brain-washed, they actually believe that they do all the monitoring, suppression, persecution and murder to guard the country; they believe that they are suppressing the “state enemies”, not their brothers and sisters who were born and raised on the same land. So they are cruel and heartless.
As for those lower ranked officials who directly supervise these suppressions, they do this mostly to protect their social status. They think the suppressions is a protection of the current system and it is the current system that guarantees the stability and development of the country.
Many times, they fear that they would be blamed and lose their jobs and benefits if they do not perform well enough. Therefore, they go to the extremes during suppressions and are accused mistakenly by “Violating Central Government’s Spirit”; and those senior officials use this excuse to stay away from the blame which leaves civilians an expression that it is the bad deed of the lower ranked officials bad deed.
The highest ranking Zhongnanhai governors know exactly what they are doing. All the persecutions and suppressions are not for the stability of the country or some faith and belief, but for interests which are gained through monopoly of national resources, privileges to benefit themselves and their descendants.
Zongnanhai mentality is the gangster mentality. The members are strong, cruel and hoping to protect their status in this giant and powerful group. Suppressions and persecutions are a reflection of this mentality.
