The Nobel Peace Prize Committee at Norway Oslo has given 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to famous democracy activist Xiaobo Liu, who is also one of the drafters of “Charter 08”. The announcement of this prize has strongly motivated the democracy activities inside China and overseas.

Because Xiaobo Liu published articles on internet and in media criticizing the dark autocracy of China Communist Party, he was seriously sentenced 11 years in prison by CCP on in December 2009 under the so called crime “Intending to Overturn Government”. Human beings’ civilization is so developed today, but there are still people got crimes because of their speech. CCP’s whole theory of people’s democracy is just a joke. The crime “Intending to Overturn Government” is completely created by CCP in order to get rid of people who disagree with them.

Xiaobo Liu’s receiving Nobel Peace Prize is international society’s recognition of China’s democracy and human rights activities. It also proves that CCP government is far away from the universal value of respecting democracy and human rights. This government only works to maintain CCP’s control. The democracy activists are strongly motivated by the announcement of this news. They will strive to fight for democracy and human rights. As a China Democracy Party member, I will keep on contributing strength to the democracy career in China.
