Liu, Ying: Let people have the right to vote is the beginning of improving human rights
刘鹰(liu,Ying)
Facing the urge of improving human rights from the global society, the Chinese government on one hand claims to do so, on the other hand, never execute it. What is the human rights situation in China for these years? The Chinese government has continued to supervise, and persecute dissidents, human rights activists and religious people; they continue to arrest and deport petitioners like mafia; they continue to promote the single-party dictatorship. The human rights of Chinese people can’t be protected.
It is a must for the government to protect people’s basic human rights. The primary condition for the Chinese government to protect people’s human rights is to give the right to vote back to people, let people vote for the government and government officials; only a voted government would respect and protect people’s human rights. If voted government officials trample human rights, people will have the right to reelect and impeach government officials.
It is the universal value and development direction of democracy and liberty to respect human rights. In order to sincerely improve human rights, the Chinese government must do the following: 1, to abandon violence and stop persecution to create an environment that could improve human rights; 2, to carry out democratic political reforms and let the people have the right to vote and vote for the government and government officials. And thus, the basic condition of improving human rights in China can be created.
