Zhang, Mingzhi: A democratic system is the guarantee of government officials’ integrity
At present, China doesn’t need to copy the western democratic and free political system, but have to learn from how they succeed. No matter being socialistic or capitalistic, a best political system is the result of human being’s highest civilization. Some Chinese communist government people are still used to finding solutions from the Theory of Scientific Socialism, which is ridiculous.
Under current dictatorship, the Chinese society has put hopes on morality and the appearance of integrated officials, which is also ridiculous. Without a great democratic political system, there might be integrated officials from time to time, and these people might be political idols under a laid back political system. On the contrary, under the civilized democratic and political system, almost everyone is integrated. Why in western democratic countries, many officials are living a simple life, without luxurious office equipment, but still hard-working? They didn’t receive much political education; many senior officials also take the bus as regular citizens. They won’t dare to take public funds. When necessary, they do everything they can. Based on the standards of a excellent Chinese communist government official, they might not be able to win. How come the Chinese communist government officials can’t do what they can do? It is not because they are born integreated, but the democratic and free political system.
