Wang, Xiaoping: Political chaos in China
王小萍(Wang,Xiaoping)
“Suzhou Xinyi government borrowed money to build roads and still hasn’t paid back after 17 years”
“Wen, Jiabao: People should supervise the government”…
This is the front page title of today’s political news. The first one is that: the city government borrowed money from local residents and promised to pay back many times, however nobody expected that. A long-term unpaid debt of a government has become a dead debt. The government has lost its credibility during years of delays. That article used the statement of a peasant, whose name is Gao, Chengjun “If somebody borrows money from me, I will wait outside his or her home to ask for the pay back; but where should I go to ask for pay back if the government borrowed my money?” – Yang, Di from China News.
The 2nd article reported that China Premier Wen, Jiabao spoke at the Royal Society and emphasized about political and systematic reforms again. He stated that conditions must be created so that people can supervise and criticize the government. In this way, the government won’t slack and corruption can be avoided. He said that he is the senior leader of the Chinese government who mentioned about political reforms for the most times. – Mainland New
If these 2 articles are compared together, (this is not political attack from western media), it is ridiculous? Do you believe there is still justice in China? What’s ironic is that when Premier Wen, Jiabao advocated for political reforms, there was chaos. Protesting has become larger-scale, protests have become chaos and it has happened more frequently. 6 protests happened in early June: the 1st one happened in Chaozhou. On June 1st, several residents were hurt for asking for salary, and it caused workers protesting and bans of 7 days; on the 7th, someone was dead while being interrogated at the police station in Lichuan, Hubei, and there have been conflicts between police and people for several days; on the 12th, conflicts occurred due to compensation issue by demolishing houses in Zhengzhou, Henan, and thousands of police were deployed; on the 12th, conflicts occurred between police and residents due to demolishing issue in Changsha; on the 14th, conflicts occurred since electric tower to be built in Loudi, Hunan against residents’ will. The most serious is that a pregnant woman was pushed by urban supervisors in Guangzhou Zengcheng, plus immigrant workers are being discriminated, and it caused ten thousand people protesting on the streets and burning down cars, local police station and fire department were destroyed, and 5 thousand police and even military troops were deployed from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to suppress the riots… At the moment of resentment, our Premier Wen was still stating that western democracy won’t be implemented, which is the 6 Nos, and that the Red should be promoted and the Black should be defeated. It seemed like we would go back to old times. However, nobody really cared enough to solve people’s problems.
If Premier Wen is still just making nice statements when knowing what is really going on, let me, a regular citizen, tell you the future for China: justice has to be independent, and multi-party ruling should be implemented. This is the truth that has been testified by world civilization and contemporary civilization! It is right to listen to the people!
