Liu, Zanchun: The environmental pollution in China is becoming more and more serious
刘赞春 (Liu, Zanchun)
The environmental pollution in China is becoming more serious and worrying. As of today, although regional economy has developed and people have become wealthy, in many regions in China, the quality of air has been worse, especially in some major cities, there is over standard dust and toxic elements; the quality of water in rivers and lakes is poor and smelly.
The environmental pollution in China has been more concerning. Some regional government and government officials are only concerned about economic development, GDP values and economic benefits and have ignored environmental protection. Some factories emitted unprocessed gas and water during manufacturing process and polluted air, rivers and lakes. This directly harms the produce and food safety in these regions and put the physical health and life safety of residents at risk.
China is a populated country, the economic development is fast and the environmental pollution is serious. As the government and government officials, this issue must be seen. Environmental pollution will induce climate anomalies and increase the frequencies of floods and droughts. Therefore, the Chinese government must pay attention to environmental protection, enhance awareness of environmental protection and increase the investment of environmental protection.
