Chen, Muxiang: The Chinese government must protect environment when developing economy

Many years ago, in China, it was clean and water was clear. There were trees all over in suburban areas and it was energetic. Back then, the sky was blue and air was fresh. However, now in China, it is garbage everywhere. Especially in city’s surrounding areas, when the wind blows, it would be garbage bags of white, black, red and all kinds of colors; discarded cans, batteries could be seen everywhere.
For years, in order to develop economy, the Chinese government has relaxed the promotion of environmental protection and law enforcement of solving environmental pollution. Industrial water, gas and waste are emitted into the environment directly without being processed. Until now, some people still don’t know that discarding batteries will cause serious pollution to the environment and that one battery could pollute at least one square meter of soil.
The environment must be protected when developing the economy. The Chinese government should pay attention to environmental protection and promote for environmental protection so that people will stay away from white pollution and not discard garbage; the government should establish legislation, decrease the emission amount of water, gas and waste; the government should deal with desert, improve quality of soil and water and give people back a clean and comfortable environment.
