Wang, Jun: Why the corruption issue is getting more serious

Economy in China has developed, corruption has become more serious too, and especially government officials’corruption issue cannot be stopped. As of today, the higher the level of government officials, the greater the corruption amount is. The serious corruption issue has negatively influenced the social stability of China and seriously impacted normal people’s life. This is very sad and causing China lost of fairness and justice.
For a long time, the government has been determined to fight against corruption. The efforts of anti-corruption have been unprecedented. However, there haven’t been good results for anti-corruption. Some local governments have been deceptive on anti-corruption and concealed the corruption issue of government officials. The corruption issue has been more serious in some regions.
The root of corruption is the single-party dictatorship. Under the dictating system, the power held by Chinese government officials lacks effective supervision. The power held by officials cannot be restricted by law and is not supervised by people. It is proved that the ultimate solution of the corruption issues is to establish the democratic system of multi-party ruling and let power to be restricted and supervised.
