Zhang, Hongqing: The solution of anti-corruption in China is systematic reforms
张洪庆(Zhang,Hongqing)
Benefits are very important for most corruptive government officials in China. Benefits mean that government officials make money whenever they can. The more efforts of anti-corruption from Chinese communist government are, the greater the number of corruptive officials, the higher the level of government officials and the younger the government officials. Now even bureau chief and clerks are involved. All government officials are corruptive and there is no single official that is not corruptive.
On Chinese media, there are reports about anti-corruption everyday and the amount involved is great. The corruption amount has increased from hundreds of thousands and millions to hundreds of millions and billions. A town official from a developed city can get millions and even more. Corruptive officials are not rare in China.
Now in order to suppress the issue of corruption, the Chinese government is only using anti-corruption regulations and organizations, which is not effective. It has to start from the root cause of corruption. And the root cause is the social system. If there is no systematic and political reforms, anti-corruption can’t be terminated. The social system in China should be reformed. If the party ban is stopped and multi-party democratic system is implemented, power can be supervised and then the number of corruption cases will be decreased.
