Zhang,Dexiang: Calling for Chinese government to give the right of freedom of speech back to people

In western democratic countries, all the press is open and all the speeches are open. There is no limit of people’s freedom of speech from authority and no intervention of people’s criticizing comment on the government. They don’t limit the so-called “negative” sound. In a word, all the people can express their speeches freely.
However, in present China, government supervises press so strictly that ordinary people can’t express their thoughts and opinions freely. The freedom of speech is not open to public in the society and people can’t publish negative words of authority. So they don’t have channels to show their opinions normally.
Chinese people just can read the newspapers and journals published by government and see the TV programs of governmental television station. But the content of them are all eulogizing the vanity of the party in power and preaching the prospect in Chinese society. The freedom of speech is the basic human right of Chinese people, but it is deprived totally by the government, so we call for Chinese authority to give it back to people.
