Wang, Ruijin: Allow Chinese women to have free reproductive rights

More than thirty years ago, Chinese government carried out family planning policy forcefully and with its practice, most of Chinese women of childbearing age lost their basic reproductive rights. Government can intervene in the reproductive problem of women directly, and women’s natality is included into the plan of government. How ridiculous it is!
After the carrying out of this plan, family planning management offices are established all over China and they promote and carry out family planning forcefully. The practice and performance of family planning usually rely on violence, and pregnant women get “artificial abortion” and aborticide constrained; these not only damage women’s physical and psychological health, also cause so many tragedies.
Family planning is the most important decision error for contemporary China. In these years, it destroys the natural balance of sex ratio in China; the goal of family planning is that one couple just has one child. However, because of the feudal idea of preferring boys to girls occupying people’s ideas, hundreds of girls are miscarried and many years’ later people find that the sex ratio in China is disproportionate. Hereby, I appeal solemnly that Chinese government should abolish the bloody family planning policy as soon as possible to allow Chinese women to have free reproductive rights.
