China is one of the big developing countries in the world and environmental protection becomes the weakness; the condition of environmental pollution at present in China makes people anxious indeed. During the decades of years of reform and open, Chinese economics has developed and national economic output has improved, but with the improvements of economic benefit, environmental protection has been neglected for a long time. At present in China, no matter in poor or rich areas and cloudy or sunny weather, the air contains overproof dust and toxic gas, with bad transparence and even in some areas air smells olid and excitatory; drinking water contains fierce hypochlorite; some food produced in some areas contain overproof the safe eating standard content of pesticide; there are so many garbage all over the people’s living environment; all of them illustrate the environment of Chinese society is worsening.
The degree of environmental pollution is out of people’s imagination, with the main reason that government made mistakes on environmental protection. One is fault of policy and decision and the other is not doing enough. If we allow serious environmental pollution in China spread continuously, it will threaten the living environment of human beings.
With regard to the problem of environmental pollution in China, international society and Environmental Protection Agency have come up with criticism and suggested Chinese government legislate strictly on environmental protection and improve the investment on environmental protection to make good for controlling environmental pollution.
