Wu, Jing: China changes environment as the price for economical prosperity
吴菁(Wu, Jing)
The environmental pollution in China has become the most outstanding environmental issues all over the world; decades of years ago, the policy of Chinese government’s stimulating economical development is that becoming rich at first. In the short decades of years, the environment in China has been damaged unprecedentedly, such as serious soil erosion, the rapid expansion of desertification, the aggravation of grass-land deterioration, sharp cutoff of woods resource, accelerated dying out of biological special, drop of ground water level, serious pollution of water and air, garbage’s surrounding city, environmental pollution’s spread towards countries and so on. In recent years, natural disasters caused by environmental pollution happen quite frequently.
Chinese environmental disasters have been much more serious, and it has influenced the surrounding neighbors and even threatened the global ecological balance. Chinese environmental pollution becomes a kind of “threaten” surpassing ideology. In term of environmental protection, it can be said that Chinese government is an irresponsible government.
This is that Chinese government changes environment as the price for economical temporary prosperity because it only cares for immediate benefit but neglects long-term benefit, only pay attention to economics but neglects zoology for a long time. As a country with the biggest population and the most rapid economical development, Chinese government has duty and responsibility to improve the investment on environmental protection, develop clean energy to contribute to environmental protection and ecological balance.
