Zhou, Baozhen: Violent movement such as “the Great Cultural Revolution” can’t happen in China
周宝珍(Zhou, Baozhen)
In 1966 of last century, the famous “Great Cultural Revolution” of CCP regime happened in China, with millions of people involved in it, and lots of Chinese people were agitated into factions and groups and scattered, so it fell into chaos all over China; “the Great Cultural Revolution” pulled China into the border of civil war and this massive and nationwide violent movements lasted for ten years.
My father has sense of justice and when “the Great Cultural Revolution” began, he objected to it and he was unwilling to see millions of Chinese people were tortured innocently, Chinese culture and historical heritage were ruined and thousands of innocent people lost their lives in the fighting. Because opposing “the Great Cultural Revolution”, my father was threatened and persecuted by government.
History shows that CCP’s dictators used the signboard of “the Great Cultural Revolution” to hit opponents in CCP’s inner conflicts, and control the ruling power of China absolutely based on it. CCP’s dictators succeeded, however, the state and people paid so big price for it. Chinese people will not allow the violent movements such as “the Great Cultural Revolution” to happen in China again”.
