Guan, Xuexia: Chinese valuing environmental protection is good for human’s health

There are the highest plateau-Tibet Plateau, the biggest ancient glacier and the wide grassland in China with so big area. However, Chinese government didn’t pay attention to environmental protection for a long time, so since these over sixty years, Chinese economics developed and people’s lives improved, but environmental pollution is becoming worse and worse. China has become one of the areas with most serious pollution.
Nowadays, greenhouse effect caused by excessive economical movements in Chinese area, leads to glacier’s dissolving and grassland’s deterioration; besides, artificial excessive deforestation reduced forest’s acreage sharply. In these years, natural disasters happened frequently in China, such as drought, flood, freezing, landslip, mud-rock flow and so on. Although Chinese government has formulated the laws of protecting environment and punishing pollution, some local governments set up serious pollution industry in order to develop economics. Department of environmental protection turned a blind eye; some officials even said in public that if do not give way for economical development, and then will be fired.
If the matter of environmental pollution in China can’t be controlled, it will become threaten to human’s health. Chinese government must do its responsibility to protect environment, because it’s not only good for China, descendents, also all the people in the world.
