Pan, Xiaolong: Human rights can be improved based on elected government in China
潘晓龙(Pan, Xiaolong)
Chinese people lack due political rights for long time and political rights of Chinese people fall far behind from most countries in the world. As a Chinese citizen, political rights doesn’t match internationally recognized human rights standard. The matter of human rights in this country with 1.3 billion populations is very serious.
At present, Chinese people don’t have the right to vote and they can’t elect government and officials by their votes. The government is CCP’s government and officials are governmental officials. Under such condition, a political environment respecting human rights actually, a legal and judicial system guaranteeing people’s basic human rights and can’t be established in China. This is the reason why condition of human rights in China can’t be improved in a long time.
If people in a country don’t have human rights, they will not have freedom of speeches, faith and association. Only if promote Chinese political reform and allow Chinese people participate in state affairs, levels of officials can be elected by people directly and freely and people can elect officials they like and establish an elected government. Only based on it, human rights in China can be improved actually.
