Zhang, Jianjun: Chinese government should value environmental protection

Nowadays, food polluted at different levels in China become more and more, the same as water resource and air, and polluted food has threatened people’s health directly. Due to deterioration of total environment in China, matter of safety of food is worsening, which the result of that Chinese government is only going after financial benefit but not valuing environmental protection.
Information shows there are several hundred million farmers in China lacking clean drinking water; what people in some areas drink is polluted water. Besides, irrigation water is polluted seriously to stink, so vegetables and fruits growing in this condition contain toxin, but all of them are taken to the tables for people to enjoy. Only seeing from the appearance, there is no difference between them.
Chinese people have definite acknowledges on environment and lots of people are valuing matter of environment. Chinese government should pay attention to environmental protection, take use of various presses to advertise the importance of environmental protection to improve people’s ideology of environmental protection, strengthen legislation of environmental protection and increase investment on environmental protection to take works of environmental protection in practice.
