Lots of foreign visitors, ever traveled to China, have a common opinion that pollution in China is very serious, and no matter in cities and villages, the first feeling is air pollution, low transparency of air and high content of dust; The second feeling to people is so much garbage, various colors of plastic bags everywhere and white foam packing boxes; The third feeling is the heavy smell of bleaching powder of common people’s drinking water and domestic water in cities and the water of rivers and lakes somewhere is muddy, dark and even stunk.
Press usually reports the exceeded standard of toxic substances in foods causes the events of people eating toxic substances happen frequently in China and the reason is a large amount of utilizing pesticides and environmental pollution.
Chinese environment is destroyed seriously because Chinese government focuses on economical development in term of policies and relax works of environmental protection; invest large amount of money on developing economics and reduce the investment on environmental protection. In these years, Chinese economics develops, but environmental pollution is becoming more and more outstanding. Global warming is produced by people’s destroying environmental pollution and we appeal Chinese government to undertake the responsibility of environmental protection as a big country.
