Gao, Jie: Appeal Chinese government to curb serious environmental pollution

Chinese economics has developed but problem of environmental pollution is very serious and making people worried. In many areas in China, there is a large amount of dust and toxic air and water of the lake and river has become black and stinking. People living in some areas lack of clean drinking water and vegetables and food produced are short of insurance.
At present, serious problem of Chinese environmental pollution has caught eyes of the whole society and for the so-called work performance, officials of Chinese government only pay attention to the development of economics and going after industrial output unilaterally and economical interest but not protect environment. Industrial enterprises’ discharging waste water and waste gas into natural environment directly without any disposing causes air, rivers and lakes being polluted, which damages people’s health directly living in the areas near rivers and lakes.
The population in China is much and economics is developing rapidly; and China is one of the areas with serious pollution all over the world, so Chinese government should acknowledge the fact that serious environmental pollution damages people’s health and pollution is also the factor of inducing the natural disasters such as earthquake, flood, and drought and so on. Therefore, improving environmental awareness and increasing investment on environmental protection are the important jobs for Chinese government.
