Bai, Hua: Chinese Human Rights Situation Has to Be Improved
白华(Bai,Hua)
For years, Chinese human rights issue has always catched the attention of international society. In China, common people’s human rights can not be guaranteeded, lots of workers being layed off and some peasants’ lands in some areas being expropriated by local governments in some places of China. Without arable lands, which are those peasants’livelihood, they also be taken away their houses without reasonable compensations. All these problems occur lies in that Chinese social system can not guarantee people’s human rights.
Chinese government rule people by means of totalitarianism. With Chinese people being forced and persecuted by those government officials for a long time, the feature of Chinese society is not rule of law, but rathr rule of people. Under the control of such government, violence is used and this can not protect peoples basic human rights at all.
Chinese people need human rights, and a fair and just social environment as a whole. Thus, they demand government not only ensure human rights in the constitution but also apply this concept to the actual protection of their human rights. It is hoped that Chinese government give up rule of violence, conduct peaceful dialogue with people in terms of human rights, promote freedom of speech as well as the reform of Chinese democratic politics, so as to enhance the human rights among Chinese people.
