The corruption issue in China today is unstoppable, which implies that corruption is triggered by its combination with powers. The major reasons for most officials to fall victim to this crime are on one hand power is not restricted by law, and on the other the abuse of power. Corruption shows exactly that many government officials employ powers for their own good.
After China embraced the market-oriented economic system, many government officials are allowed to enter into market either. However, due to the existence of flaws in Chinese social system, Chinese government officials are not constrained by the law as well as the supervision of people. In such over-expanding power, market economy does not comply with the principle of “fairness, justice, openness and equality”,seducing officials to focus on money and material only.
Market economic activities commercialize everything, including the characters, souls and powers of many Chinese government officials, which gives rise to the so-called expansion of money, fixating eyes on money and interests. The above mentioned is the important contributor to the spreading of Chinese officials’corruption. An honest government is in stark collision with a corruptive one. Referring to other governments’ measurement in dealing with corruption, it shows that the key to anti-corruption is to establish democratic, efficient and honest government.
