Zheng, Qin: Chinese Government Should Protect the Environment
郑勤(Zheng,Qin)
Environmental pollution in China has become more and more serious, which is the consequence of the measures Chinese government take to value economy over environment protection. Let’s take a look at the environmental problem in China: waves of smog flows emitted from factories flow in the sky of China, which is turning grayer; breathing in the bad smell, residents living in the neighborhood are terribly bothered by it; waste water flow directly into spring, rivers and ponds without going through any purifying procedures. The physical health of local residents are harmed by the wasted water, and polluted vegetables, fruit and other food.
It is urgent to take steps to protect the environment. It is people’s common wish for Chinese to value environment protection and improve the legislature and enforcement of laws regarding environment protection. As for manufacturing factories, they should employ advanced system of disposing waste gas and water so that they can be purified before dumped into the environment.
As a economically booming nation with vast populations, China should take responsibility towards the environment protection, dealing with this problem in consistent with law and accelerate the investment in this step, which is also the shared wish of International society and environment protection organizations.
