Cui, Longyu: Chinesse Government Has to Contribute to Environment Protection
崔龙宇(Cui,Longyu)
China's economy has grown in the high rate for many years, though the environmental pollution and ecological destruction is also unprecedented. within just three decades, China's gradual deterioration of the environment has achieved its limit. In some economically developed regions this is particularly evident with the inedible smelly water,; the air is full of dust, smell is pungent; and the garbage is piled up everywhere ... ... the level of environmental pollution would dumbfounded the world.
China's environmental pollution becomes so severe, because for a long time the government focuses on the economic development, neglecting the environmental protection. The Chinese government can not shirk responsibility. China's environmental problems have attracted the attention of the international community so the international environmental organizations have asked the Chinese government to attaches importance to environmental issues.
Facts have shown that the Chinese government and officials at all levels are in pursuit of economic efficiency at the cost of the environment. This approach will bring endless trouble, so the Chinese government must learn to make major adjustments in policy. The prerequisite for economic development is to put emphasis on the protection of the environment from the macro, to develop practical environmental protection measures to publicize the significance of environmental protection, raise people's environmental awareness, increase capital investment in environmental protection, and thus contribute to the cause of protecting the environment.
