Jin, Chenghao: Cry on Chinese Government to Protect the Environment

China is the world＇s most populous country. Over the years, the Government does not attach importance to environmental protection work. many people lack the necessary environmental awareness, and some people casually discarded rubbish, causing huge environmental risks. With economic development, government makes development on large amounts of land, inflicting continuous destruction of wetlands, so many people had gathered in the city; a large number of industrial activities produce carbon dioxide, causing global warming. China is one of the lowest energy efficient countries in the world. The excess energy consumption accelerateS the speed of global warming. In recent years, in some areas OF China, there occured frequent flooding, frequent landslides, traffic disruption events; in some areas, there have prolonged periods of drought, no rain, and large areas of crops died.
In the course of economic development, a national government, should pay attention to environmental protection, strengthen environmental protection publicity. What the Chinese government have to do is save energy, to use advanced energy technologies, and improve energy efficiency, also to develop new, clean energy, such as solar, wind, hydropower and other clean energy.
We call upon the Chinese Government to change the practice, including not only attaching importance to environmental protection, but also reforming environmental policy, increasing capital investment. Only when the government attention, public participation in environmental protection are in work, then they can form a joint force to protect the environment, and take environmental responsibility for a large country.
