In today＇s Chinese society, the government＇s strict control of public opinion, whether newspapers, magazines, radio, or TV and Internet, cannot speak one＇s mind freely, from the government of the Communist Party of China top to each basic level organization, launched various restrictions, let the Chinese people cannot enjoy the freedom of the press. Ordinary Chinese citizens may not gain the true understanding of society under government controled media, they cannot go to have the understanding of the real world, more likely they do not know about democratic freedom philosophy.
The Chinese government control on news communication is always strict. Long-term government restricted coverage have a negative impact on the information, in recent years, many people have protested for their rights blocked by the Chinese government, people can not enjoy a clear understanding of the truth of the incident; many officials’ corruption sheltered by government, they cannot report corruption, corruption is obscure facts.
Not only that, contrary to Chinese social and political system, such as democracy, freedom, human rights, rule of law and other content can not be reported, article or comments conducive to the interests of the state and people are not reported. Although in the past 30 years, China ＇s economy has a great development, but the news was carried out under brutal control, billions of Chinese people can not enjoy the freedom of the press. We call on the Chinese government to open the freedom of the press.
