In another 10 days is the 22 anniversary of commemoration of Tian’an Men Square Event (a/k/a June 4 Movement)in 1989. 22 years ago, in Beijing, China, many students and citizens marched to the street, call for crackdown on corruption and democratic political reform. Their request was met with tank and guns. The scene was terrifying. Though 22 years passed away, many Chinese people did not forget, nor did many people in the world.
This event left a scar in Chinese peope, becoming the unavoidable social problem for Chinese social development. To disclose the truth of June 4 Movement so that younger generation of Chinese people can understand it truthfully.
We ask Chinese government to respect history. Those decision makers in cracking down on the 1989 democratic movements and Tian’an Men Square Massacure must shoulder the responsibility. Chinese government should establish the freedom of speech, allowing the account of this event online to rest the dead in peace and relieve the living.
