Chen, Jing: the corruption of officials follows the corruption of political system in China
陈靖(Chen,Jing)
The corruption in China has been intensified under the Chinese Communist government's anti-corruption campaign, people involved in the corruption are mainly officials from all levels, and the amount of money involved in corruption cases is becoming much more larger; also the number people involved in corruption is more and more with an unstoppable trend. Confronted with such serious corruption, the Chinese government is almost helpless, there is actually no good means of anti- corruption.
The root cause of the serious corruption in China lies in the political system. Under the one-party autocracy, the power of government and the officials lacks effective restriction, and it is pretty easy for corrupted government officials to escape legal sanctions, making the anti-corruption means lose its original function.
In modern-day China, corruption of officials follows the corrupted political system. This is the root cause why the Chinese government cannot do anything about the corrupted officials. Corruption becomes a unique social problem in China; and economic corruption exacerbated the degree of political corruption, which caused the instability in the Chinese society. In order for the Chinese government to control corruption, they has to realize democracy and freedom and the rule of law.
