Wang, Huiqin: the reproductive rights of Chinese women cannot be deprived of
王惠勤(Wang,Huiqin)
Chinese women's reproductive rights and the right to life, both are the basic human rights. Thirty years ago, the Chinese government forcibly performed the family planning policy, and the policy regulations pointed out that, if China does not have compulsory family planning policy, it cannot feed so many people. Over the years, hundreds of millions of Chinese women by the destruction of family planning, was forced to undergo ligation, abortion, induced childbirth, and consequently countless families suffer from this kind of violence, and finally their families disintegrated and even family members died.
The family planning policy has no positive effect in modern-day China, but does have profound harmful effect for future generations; it forcibly reduce the Chinese people’s reproductive wish, and raised the cost for upbringing a child, which makes China step into the era of too poor to feed the children ahead of scheduled time; at the same time, this policy weakened the sustainable development ability of population reproduction and accelerated the speed of number of aged persons.
The right of reproductive is a basic human right of Chinese women, and is a natural right as a human being, which at any time cannot be deprived of.Facts have proved that the Chinese government's family planning policy is sloppy, and there is no scientific ground. The policy violated the natural law in the society and threatened social stability in China; thus is harmful to China's sustainable development, and must be banned as soon as possible for future implementation.
