Liu Funan: Appealing to the Chinese Government for Conscientiously Secure the People’s Basic Human Rights
刘福男 (Liu, Funan)
The common’s human rights are repeatedly infringed by the Chinese officials. As a government, the Chinese Communist Party does not implement regulations or laws to bind and punish the officials who persecute human rights. For example, in order to obtain political achievements through expanding urban construction, many government officials would demolish civilian houses and condemned farmers’ lands by means of violence, and even do not provide the aggrieved people with legitimate and reasonable indemnification for loss.
It is government that infringes human rights, because the government performs a wrong despotic system. Under a dictatorial system, the government officials treat laws with contempt, they execute the policy of “rule of man (a society in which one person, or a group of people rule arbitrarily)”. Countries that have continual occurrences of violating human rights will be included in the “countries of poor human rights record” by the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. The situation of human rights in China is rather awful and thereby China can be listed as a country of poor human rights record.
The constitution established by the Chinese government, should grant the Chinese people many rights including the basic human rights. If a person is deprived of his human rights, he will have no dignity, and is not treated equally. Consequently, we appeal the Chinese government and officials to improve human rights, and conscientiously secure the common’s basic human rights.
