Tian, Hong: Establishing a Human Rights Society in China
田宏(Tian,Hong)
The Chinese government promised the international community that it will settle for a compromise on the problem of improving human rights. Although it shows a few signs of improvement, the situation of human rights in China is still far from the demands made by the international community. Facing the voice from the international society requiring the Chinese government to improve human rights, the China Communist Party pretends to obey orders without actually executing them. The China communist government is never what it appears to be, it deceives the international society.
Recalling the Beijing Olympic Games held in 2008, the Chinese government guaranteed to take the chance to conscientiously ameliorate the human rights situation in China. Several years has passed after the Beijing Olympic Games held, however, the human rights situation in today’s China has not been improved remarkably. That is a cruel fact.
There are many reasons why the situation of human rights in China has not been improved thoroughly. The main reason is China lacking in good human rights circumstances which is formed on the basis of a good social system. The first thing that the government must do for the improvement in human rights situation, is waiving persecution, giving up violence, and respect the common’s basic human rights. The government must seriously practice the people-oriented policy, and create an immense environment of respecting the public’s basic human rights. Only by this way will China build a human rights society.
