The Chinese government carries out marginalization policy among the Chinese farmers. The Chinese farmers become a group that is severely exploited. The officials of the Chinese government, utilizes autocratic culture to make a fool of the farmers. , which induces the farmers’ a total sense of inferiority. Quite a few farmers are at the mercy of others, and even completely rely on the government. The upright and honest farmers with low standard of culture are utilized by the corrupt officials. With the aid of powers in hands, the corrupt officials of the Chinese government occupy the farmers’ lands at no allowance, and engage in the illegal resale of the lands at exorbitant profit, what’s more, they take a large sum of money for themselves. The lands the farmers’ livelihood depends on are forcibly occupied, and their rights to live are deprived totally.
As a government, it should return the lands to the farmers, and put into effect the system of “land to the tillers”. Prior to the China’s economic reform, the farmers are possessed of lands, their careful and intensive cultivation ensure the rural economy as well as their livelihood. After carrying out the economic reform, China’s local governments at all levels have been progressively occupying large amounts of land, depriving the farmers of land ownership. As a result of the farmers’ losing the free operation of land, the China’s agriculture is going backwards.
We appeal to the Chinese government to return lands to the farmers, make the farmers get the land ownership they deserve, and effectively safeguard the farmers’ rights and interests. That is not only a problem about the farmer’s rights, but also a measure the Chinese government could take for the promotion and improvement of the farmers’ basic human rights.
