In the wee hours of the morning of June 4, 1989, the Chinese government made “June Forth incident” that shocked the country and the whole world. Twenty-one years went by, that brutal history has been engraved in the Chinese people’s minds. The Chinese people who experienced the incident, commemorate the victims of the “June Forth Incident” through various ways.
During those twenty-one years, the Chinese government has been making attempt to cover up the “June Forth incident”, it forbids the news media to report the “June Forth incident”, and also prohibits transmission of articles, books, and audio-visual products concerning the “June Forth incident”. All they do is for making people forget the “June Forth incident”. Although twenty-one years went by, enormous sorrows and rancor the “June Forth incident” brings to the Chinese people, which is an unavoidable problem the Chinese society has to face during the course of its development.
During those twenty-one years, any sound regarding the “June Forth incident” has been restricted and suppressed by the government through means of force. Only what the government says goes. Here, we admonish the China communist government to face up to “June Forth incident” with a positive attitude, promote democratic political reform, and realize a democratic and neo-liberal system.
