Li, Changming: Promote To the Condition of Human Rights in China

The condition of human rights in China has not been improved yet, and the government should bear the responsibility for the bad result. In recent years, on one hand the Chinese government high-profile promises the international society and the Chinese people that it will promote the human rights, but on the other the government does not take actions and make substantive progress in human rights. The government continues suppressing dissidents, and prohibits any voice concerning political reform. As for the situation of human rights in China, the government must face reality, and muster the courage to take substantive steps forward.
What the most vital point is that the promotion of China’s human rights is highly dependent on support from the international society. The human right of China is a part of international human rights; democratic countries, United Nations Commission on Human Rights, and international human rights organizations should provide assistance, care, and urge the Chinese government to improve human rights. That’s because pressure from the international society will contribute to the Chinese government’s improvement in the condition of human rights. The more pressure that’s put on the Chinese government, the wider range the Chinese government will make progress with the condition of human rights.
For years, the Chinese people have been paying a huge fine for their basic human rights. The condition of human rights in China is not improved substantially, which is the result of China Communist Party’s dictatorship. We call on the Chinese people not to cherish the illusion about the China communist government, obtaining the basic human rights has to depend on the Chinese people’s own efforts.
