Jiang, Yuzhen: The Chinese Society Needs to Advocate the Value of Human Rights

Human rights cannot exist under violence, and power is the chief cause of worsening people’s livelihood. When senses and harmony are subverted by power, violent resistance follows immediately. The Chinese common are facing a government which advocates violence. An “inequitable war” is fought between the public and the government. Since the China communist government owns measureless human resources and materials, modern weapons, system control equipment, it has the power of life and death over the people, and has ability to control the public opinion. How to avoid useless casualties and personal injury is a realistic problem. It reminds us of the inequitable anti-terrorist war. Facing terrorists who exist everywhere and despise all lives including their own lives, advocacy of humanism and protection of human rights will be defeated. Even democratic countries will face such problem, and so will China.
Human begins cannot abandon human rights and humanistic value, and cannot return to barbarous state. Brutal, inhuman, and bloody massacre must be prevented from spreading throughout the entire world. Both Terrorists and those despotic governments which support terrorist activities must be thoroughly wiped out. The Chinese government must pay particular attention to human rights as the people need basic human rights, and the entire society need to advocate the value of human rights.
