Some UN members submit proposals several times on human rights in China, criticizing the issue of human rights in China is not the same as Chinese government says. Actually the human rights situation in China is not optimistic; there are still many problems. They ask the UN to push the Chinese government to improve the human rights problem, taking a substantial step.
The fact shows that the issue of human rights in China does not improve at all. What is more, new events of violating human rights are happening all the time. For instance, arrest and detent petitioners, continue to monitor dissidents, human rights activists and religious figures, continue to persecute members of China Democracy Party.
On one hand, only by respecting human rights can people really talk about protecting human rights. To a government, what matters of improving human rights is its action. The basic prerequisite for improving human rights is to renounce violence and stop the persecution, and on the base of this to build an environment of respecting human rights. On the other hand, China needs to reform the social system which is persecuting human rights, and really get democracy and freedom, letting the Chinese people enjoy the human rights as all the democratic country.
