Chen, Muxiang: Strongly Demand the Abolition of the Family Planning Policy

The main goal of China’s family planning policy is “one child”. Every woman of childbearing age regardless of nationality and age, must be in strict compliance with the goal of “one child” while in the implementation process of the relevant provisions. In China, most women of childbearing age have crucial experiences such as forced abortion, forced ligation. The “one child” provision of family planning policy completely contraries to women’s basic reproductive rights, seriously violating women’s basic human rights.
The “one child” provision of family planning policy stifles women’s basic reproductive rights, affecting the whole society’s age structure, resulting in sex discrimination. This really breaches ethics. Democratic and civilized countries prohibit the use of “one child” provision.
Human reproduction is a natural law, is one kind of ecological balance. People should not destroy this nature law. Many Chinese people are opposed to family planning policy, are against the violation of women’s basic human rights. The “one child” provision of family planning policy does nothing good, and should be abolished as soon as possible.
