Li, Xiaping: Demand China to Implement Rule of Law
李夏萍(Li,Xiaping)
There is no rule of law in China. The power of government and government officials are not restricted by law. Some government officials’ power is not open, and it is in a state of abuse. China is a developed country; its economy is tightly related to the global economy. But mentioning about the rule of law, it is seriously lagging behind the democratic countries. The whole society is lack of many universal values, like fairness, justice and morality.
This is because today’s China, its social system is flawed: the official corruptions, the contradiction between officials and its people, the high goods’ price. Ordinary Chinese people are suffering. They are urgently in need of democracy, freedom, fairness and justice. Chinese people, the same as people around the whole world, are eager for democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law.
We call on the Chinese Communist government stand on the side of people, choosing democracy and freedom. Only by making the China under a democratic system can the politics be democratic, can the country achieve free elections and can judiciary be independent. Then rule of law will be the code of conduct that every citizen abides, the whole country will enter into a healthily developing track. China will achieve the rule of law absolutely.
