Liu, Xiongchuan: The Family Planning Policy in China is a Wrong Policy
30 years ago, in order to control the rate of population growth, the Chinese government made a world-renowned family planning policy. The Chinese government believes that: Rapid population growth in China hinders the country’s economy development; only one child policy is the way of China’s development since it can reduce the population number and reduces the burden of the country. This is the purpose of family planning policy in China.
Human reproduction is a natural law. Fertility is an inevitable process in it, and pregnancy is the prerequisite for the continuation of our species. It is the basic human rights that women can bear and give birth to children. In many countries, induction of labor, abortion, ligation and such similar actions break the nature law and are forbidden by the law. However, the Chinese government uses the excuses of rapid population growth hinders economy development, and introduces family planning policy, which forces women to induce labor, take abortion and ligation.
The main part of Family Planning is one child policy. Women of Childbearing age are forbidden to have the second child and the third child. If anyone violate, she will get severe punishment and persecution. This inhuman policy is in violation of objective laws with endless troubles. Family planning is a wrong policy. As a China Democrat, I call the Chinese government to stop the implementation of family planning policy, protecting people’s rights.
