Wang, Xiuping: Realizing the Rule of Law is the Base of Improving Human Rights

Changing the human rights situation in China is the requirement of all the Chinese people. If the human rights situation improves, people’s right can be guaranteed, all the people can enjoy the benefits. On the contrary, the Chinese Communist government, its officials and unscrupulous businessmen will be in trouble, since they cannot abuse human rights any more. This is the main reason why Chinese Communist government tries every mean to stop improving human rights.

China’s current constitution has been introduced more than 60 years, after numerous amendments, also adding the provision of “government respects and guarantee human rights” inside it. Few decades have past, the human rights situation in China still haven’t been improved. Today’s China is still in the disorder state of “having constitution, but not using it”.

In order to promote the improvement of human rights in China, there must be rules to limit the power of the ruling party; and the government should add provisions which highlight and reflect people’s rights, and stop persecuting human rights. China needs to realize rule of law, on the basis of laws which guarantee human rights to restrict the officials abusing human rights, establishing the terms to improve human rights from law.
