Feng, Yaying: The Chinese Government cannot Loosen the Environmental Protection Work
China’s GDP has already exceeded Japan’s. Though China’s GDP ranks second place in the world, this does not bring any real benefits to Chinese people. The real social problem in China is inflation, high prices, official corruption, social injustice, moral corruption, environmental pollution and so on. Look at today’s environment in China, air, land, forests, rivers, lakes, groundwater, and agricultural products have been all polluted. In some serious environmental polluted areas, there have more and more poisonous fruit, poisonous vegetables. The fact shows that China’s economy has developed, but the ecological environment is deteriorating.
China’s environmental problem has become increasingly prominent. In order to pursuit economic high value and high efficiency, the Chinese government loosens the environmental protection work, leading to increasingly serious environmental pollution problem. This makes China become one of world’s most polluted areas in just few decades.
We call on the Chinese government to strengthen environmental protection, increase investment in environmental protection, be strict with environmental legislation and enforcement, and use the environmental protection approaches, such as promoting and realizing energy conversation, reducing pollution, using technological progress, to improve the environment mostly, and to make contribution to environmental protection.
