Sun, Ning: Why Human Rights in China Continue to Deteriorate?
On May 24, 2012, the U.S. State Department issued 2011 annual human rights report, and the section of China is as long as 142 pages. The human rights report calls China an “authoritarian country”, the report also points that the human rights in China continues to deteriorate. Today, the social environment in China is very bad, moral decay and official corruption; almost all the people who is righteous and has justice would be persecuted by the government. The human rights situation in China becomes worse and worse, and is continuing deteriorating in these years.
The political environment in China is deteriorating every day. Government’s credibility is getting lower and lower, the image of government officials in people’s head becomes more and more greedy. Officials do not have any moral ideas, knowing the law but breaking the law, abusing power. They never care about people’s life, poverty and basic benefits, trampling human rights.
People in China are using their tax money supporting a group of unreasonable officials who even danger people’s benefits. People’s personal safety is not guaranteed for a long time, not even mentioning the basic human rights. Over many years, Chinese people pay a heavy price for human rights. Here, we appeal to Chinese people that do not have any hope on the current Chinese government. Chinese people have to fight for human rights by themselves.
